Ontario House at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games

Wins GOLD!

The 2010 Design Exchange Awards were presented on November 23, 2010. Ontario House won the Gold award in the Interior Design - Temporary or Portable category.

Ontario House, Ontario’s pavilion at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, showcased our province as a great place to work, live and invest. Through its striking design and dynamic programming, Ontario House set a new standard in creativity and innovation.

Ontario House welcomed over 150,000 visitors during the 17 days of the Olympics, and was routinely cited as one of the best pavilions. It was a huge draw for people looking to experience both Ontario and the Games and it became the pavilion of choice to share Olympic moments. It was often filled to capacity with fans watching the Games on eight giant high-tech screens. Even the outside of the pavilion brimmed with activity as overflow crowds watched the exterior screen.
