Statistics on the arts
Ontario is home to close to 57,000 practising artists.
In 2008-2009, the Ontario Arts Council funded 1,443 artists and 1,006 organizations in 200 communities.
43% of Ontarians aged 15 or older attended a performing arts event in 2005.
